Greystone on House
In case you missed it, the first shots of the Greystone Kirkbride appeared on the House season five finale: Both Sides Now which aired about two weeks ago. You can now watch the episode online at Fox’s web site. Greystone makes its appearance just before the 42 minute mark. The footage is brief, but it’s a nice view and really captures the building’s imposing bulk. I was a little surprised to see that they didn’t try harder to make it look more like an active hospital, but maybe that was an artistic choice?
I wasn’t surprised they didn’t use more footage of it, that’s how editors work. There’s probably an hours worth of footage not used! For those (like me) that don’t want to download whatever it is the Fox site wants, go to

Who said they were surprised more footage wasn’t shown?:) I just said I was surprised they didn’t try to make the hospital look more active. It looked to me like the abandoned building it is. But maybe that’s because I know it’s abandoned.

I think you may be right about the “artistic choice” idea. The scene seemed to be trying to capture a moment between these two friends and evoke the idea that at that moment the world around them didn’t exist to them. I may be overreaching, though…LOL.
I was there a couple of weeks later. I walked the same grounds as the cast!! XD
