WSH: The View from the Street

Above is Google’s Street View of Worcester State Hospital. Click on the image and drag your mouse around to explore it. You can see the Clocktower and other remaining pieces of the Kirkbride, as well as the rest of the hospital campus.
A few days ago I heard about the use of Street View on Syd’s Wayne County Training School web site. Thoroughly impressed, I immediately went to rip the idea off here:) I was only hampered by the fact that I couldn’t find any street views of Kirkbride buildings. Google must have added more of Massachusetts to their database within the last day or two though, because most of Worcester is now available. (BTW: for the other Massachusetts Kirkbrides, there aren’t any worthwhile street views yet.)
Who’d have thought I’d be mentioning Google so much in a blog about Kirkbride buildings…
